For proper operation, the unit should be tested at least once a year as described below: Output voltage test: Check DC output for proper voltage level under normal load conditions. Battery test: Check specified voltage, at both battery terminal and board terminals marked [+VBAT and 12VDC (-)] under normal load conditions, verify that the battery is fully charged and insure there is no break in the battery connection wires.

The PYR-4122 is an analog hardwired pet immune passive infrared motion detector with a high stability intrusion sensor. The PYR-4122 utilizes high-temperature compensation and unique low-temperature compensation for maximal detection capabilities and minimal false-alarm transmissions. The PYR-4122’s pyroelectric sensor is enclosed in a sealed chamber, protected from insects and air drafts. For additional security, the unit is supplied with a cover tamper which detects tampering with the sensor if the case is opened.
