reliable magnetic contact is designed for windows and doors and other thin
frame applications where an attractive recessed installation is preferred. The
unique housing design features a rugged body construction with flexible
ribbed sides for quick installations. No glue or screws are needed for
mounting; small ribs on the housing hold the contact in place.
With the SH-12, you can feel safe and secure. The 11-mm (0.43”) wide gap
distance helps prevent false alarms caused by loose fitting doors. Encased in an

SH-12 Press Fit Magnetic Contact was
designed with a focus on high quality and reliability.
This elegant magnetic contact blends into any
environment, keeping a low profile while providing
state-of-the-art protection. It is also useful in
protecting china cabinets or closets, double-hung
windows, and aluminum windows.
Easy to install, the magnetic contact uses no glue or
screws to mount. It features an 11-mm (7.16-in.)
operating gap and high grade magnets.
The contact and magnet housings are made of
flame-retardant ABS plastic. The housing has three
ribs that press-fit against the inside of a 9.65-mm
(0.38”) diameter mounting hole. The reed switch is
protected and held in place by a polyurethane
potting material.
